Food Safety Registration /License in India


Every person/ business entity involved in the food business is required to obtain a license/registration from Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. 

 

FSSAI REGISTRATION

For petty food business operators, hotels, restaurants, retailers, wholesalers, slaughtering houses, and milkmen, etc. generally having annual turnover up to ₹12 Lakh or meeting such other criteria as may be applicable on case to case basis can apply for FSSAI Registration. 

Government Fee - ₹100/P.a. 

Professional Fee -₹1500/-

FSSAI CENTRAL  / STATE LICENSE 

For other food business operators, either Central FSSAI License or State FSSAI License is required depending upon their eligibility criteria. 

Government Fee - ₹ 2000/- to ₹ 7500/- p.a. 

Professional Fee - ₹ 7000/-
